NFL News: There’s been a long list of successful Wisconsin Badger football players. Whether they had great careers on or off the field, they are the ones easily remembered by fans. When you think of these successful players, JJ Watt should be one of the first names that come to mind.
Watt’s excellent Wisconsin career resulted in him being drafted 11th overall in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. In 143 career games, Watt recorded 520 tackles and 111 sacks. He also had three career receiving touchdowns. He played for the Texans from 2011-2020 and played the 2021 and 2022 seasons in Arizona. Earlier this off-season, Watt announced his retirement from the NFL. Now he has his sights set on his next career.
JJ Watt Set To Start His Career In The Broadcast Booth With CBS
The former Wisconsin Badger, Houston Texan, and Arizona Cardinal defensive end announced Wednesday he’s joining CBS as an NFL analyst this fall, and he did so with some humor. Watt confused his followers at first by posting a video on Twitter and announcing his new job at CVS—the pharmacy. Then six minutes later, he posted a second video where he corrected the typo:
I just got a job at CVS. pic.twitter.com/FoaY8AXliv

“I love the game too much to be away from it entirely. I’m very excited to be joining CBS Sports to contribute across all their NFL shows and platforms, including working alongside and learning from JB, Coach, Boomer, Phil and Nate this fall,” Watt said in a statement from CBS.
“Hopefully fans will enjoy the insights and knowledge I’ve gained over my 12 years in the NFL and if we’re lucky, we’ll share a few laughs along the way as well.”
