NFL News: The Green Bay Packers have seemingly moved on from the franchise’s all-time leading scorer. After choosing to not re-sign him, the Packers drafted Anders Carlson in the 2023 NFL Draft. The move essentially put the nail in the coffin for the most legendary kicker in Green Bay Packers history. However, Crosby may not be ready to hang up his cleats just yet.
Mason Crosby Is Keeping Himself Ready For The 2023-24 NFL Season

Mason Crosby talked to Jason Wilde of ESPN Wisconsin. During that conversation he revealed that he’s still keeping himself in shape for what would be his 17th season.
“Never count anything out in this game,” Crosby said. “Weird stuff happens every year, and you never know. You never know what’s going to happen.”
“I’m getting myself ready for training camp and feeling good,” Crosby said. “I’m excited for what this next opportunity holds, and we’ll see what happens.
“It’s been unreal that this is the first time in 16 years that I’ve been a free agent. Been so fortunate and really thankful that through all these years I’ve been able to get a deal done with the Packers before I ever tested the market. So, it’s a little bit unknown.”
Mason Crosby still had a solid season in 2022. He made 25-of-29 field goals last season and went 37-of-39 on extra points. Crosby also went 7-11 on field goals of 40+ yards, the one area he struggled in last season. Either way, those are statistics that most teams in the NFL would be happy with.
What Teams Would Be Interested In Mason Crosby? (NFL News)

The Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos have been teams rumored to be interested in the veteran place kicker. The Broncos moved on from their kicker, Brandon McManus, this off-season. The Dallas Cowboys had struggles in the kicking game all season long.
Overall, Crosby has made 81.4 percent of his field goal attempts for his career. Considering he started his career in 2007, that is very impressive. If Crosby is ready to go come week one, expect him to be on an NFL roster. When social media heard he may be returning, fans reacted:
Do the Jets need a kicker? He knows a few guys there, so it’s a cultural fit.
