The Green Bay Packers are not getting many positive predictions in regards of finishing the upcoming NFL season with a winning record. Of course, the explanation for these is the uncertainty surrounding first-year starting quarterback Jordan Love.
After three seasons of backing up Aaron Rodgers, Love is poised to make his own mark on one of the most historic organizations in all of sports. Several of his teammates have raved about his leadership and performance this offseason.
In addition, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler had high praise for the 2020 first round draft pick during a recent segment on SportsCenter.
Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love Receives High Praise from ESPN
During the segment on SportsCenter, Fowler said the following about Love:
“[Jordan Love] looked leaps and bounds better than he did a year or two years ago.
“Looks more refined, the way he holds the ball, his command overall. And that person [his source] said, ‘There’s a reason why the Packers players are stomping for Love publicly.’ So, he’s made a lot of growth. They’re going to see where that goes.”
One of the things many fans and analysts pointed out at the time of the Rodgers trade was that when the Packers traded Brett Favre to usher in the Rodgers Era, everyone talked about how great Rodgers was. People claimed that they had not heard similar raving about Love.
Well, there has been no shortage of praise regarding Love ever since the beginning of organized team activities. Jaire Alexander, Romeo Doubs, Aaron Jones, and Elgton Jenkins are just four example of teammates that have publicly praised Love’s talent this offseason.
If fans were waiting for people in the building at 1265 Lombardi Avenue to start praising Love’s ability before they hopped aboard the Love Train themselves, they better get to hopping.
The hype is real.
