Green Bay Packers: Elgton Jenkins Reveals the 2 Rookies Who Impressed Him the Most in Offseason Activities

Earlier this week, Green Bay Packers Pro Bowl left guard Elgton Jenkins appeared on Good Morning Football. Among other things, he discussed what he will miss from Aaron Rodgers, but also what he is excited about playing with Jordan Love.

Jenkins was also asked about which of the many offensive rookies stood out to him the most during offseason activities. His answer: tight end Luke Musgrave and wide receiver Jayden Reed. Why? Because they are FAST.

When asked about what rookies impressed him the most during offseason activities, Jenkins said:

“Man, I was looking at Luke Musgrave and Jayden Reed a lot. Our weapons, man, they got some serious speed, Jayden and Luke. Just being able to see them out there running and getting vertical up the field, running routes and stuff like that, it really put a smile on my face.

“I’m ready to see what’s in store for those guys. I feel like the future’s bright for those guys. … Luke Musgrave and Jayden Reed, I’ve got a lot of high expectations for those guys in Year 1, for sure.”

The Packers will certainly be banking on immediate contributions from Musgrave and Reed. With young and inexperienced players at both the tight end and wide receiver positions, there really is no other option if the team is to be successful.

Jenkins also mentioned in his interview that the expectations and goals in the locker room for the team as a whole have not changed. They expect to win the division and make a run in the NFL Playoffs. Anything less than that will be a failure.

At least that standard has not changed.
