The Pittsburgh Steelers announced a major NFL news Tuesday after they decided to bring in a linebacker ahead of their training camp next month. The Steelers are releasing a veteran wide receiver, familiar with backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky, into the free agency pool this summer.
NFL News: a veteran wide receiver set to hit the open market
According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Steelers signed linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski. To make room for the former Chicago Bears linebacker, they cut former Bears wide receiver Anthony Miller.

Miller was a former second-round pick by the Bears in 2018. He has 1,589 yards receiving and 12 touchdown receptions in his NFL career. Miller was signed by the Steelers in 2021, but he missed all of last season with a shoulder injury.
The 28-year-old wide receiver should find a spot on a training camp roster next month. The free agent wide receiver market is thin after DeAndre Hopkins, Kenny Golladay, and Julio Jones.
The Green Bay Packers have suggested they would be in the market for a veteran wide receiver at the right price. Miller could fit their needs on a one-year “prove-it” deal.
