The Chicago Bears signed a wide receiver to their roster for training camp a day after they placed Chase Claypool on the PUP list. Bears fans reacted to the signing Monday afternoon.

According to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, the Bears are signing former Miami Dolphins’ 2017 seventh-round pick Isaiah Ford.

Ford has 63 receptions for 681 yards and two touchdowns in his NFL career–all of which came during his two stints with the Dolphins. He’s also spent time with the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts. Ford was released by the Colts last August and did not play in the previous regular season.

Ford appears to be a camp body for the Bears with Claypool on the PUP list. His highlight reel shows the former Virginia Tech standout has great hands. However, Ford struggles with route running and doesn’t always get separation from defenders.

This has me worried why would they sign a WR for an already full room wouldn’t be surprised if we hear that Mooney is on the PUP list https://t.co/u4sYyAL2jG
