Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love looked good through three quarters. Three touchdowns, all to rookie receivers, with efficient passing stats, had fans feeling good. Then the fourth quarter happened. A complete failure by the entire team saw the team blow a 12-point fourth-quarter lead and lose by one point. While the loss hurts, Love is looking at it as an opportunity to grow.
Green Bay Packers Jordan Love Looking To Grow From Loss
Love is happy that the team got to be in a close game even though they lost. He said that their “last possessions in the game are good lessons” and the team is hoping to learn some lessons from them. This is a very young team and losses like this were bound to happen. The team looked to be banging on all cylinders and then got too comfortable. The team needs to make sure they keep their foot on the gas instead of starting to coast. If the team can take their lumps this season, it will set them up for a lot of success in later seasons.
No Need To Panic
Through three quarters everything was good. It wasn’t just one part of the team that collapsed. It was the entire team. Quarters like this happen and better to have it happen now than later in the season or when there is more at stake. While the team is not taking the loss lightly, there also does not seem to be any panic. The team is 1-1 and tied for the NFC North lead thanks to a Detroit Lions loss. The team now has time to get healthy and get ready for their home opener against the Saints.
The good news from both of the first two games of 2023 is that Jordan Love looks like he can be the Green Bay Packers quarterback for a long time. While other teams seem to have a carousel of quarterbacks, the Packers continue to find quality players at the position.
