Ahead of their Saturday contest with the Texas Rangers, the Milwaukee Brewers have added some potential thump back to their lineup.
The team announced Saturday that 1B Rowdy Tellez was reinstated from the 10-day injured list after a bout with forearm inflammation and finger surgery after getting his finger stuck in an outfield wall when shagging fly balls.
With the move, the Brewers have sent INF Abraham Toro back down to AAA Nashville after just one plate appearance since his recall on August 11.

The hope is that Tellez can regain the stroke that he had at the beginning of the season. Tellez hit eight homers and 20 RBIs in his 25 games between April and May, but scuffled in June with a slash line of .171/.215/.227/.442.
In his final three games with Nashville, Tellez went 5-for-13 with five RBIs including a walk-off home run and a game-tying double in the eighth inning.
The Brewers are hoping he’s back to his slugging ways after this short stint of success following his pair of injuries.
