New York Jets OC Received Game Ball After Beating Former Team
The NFL World knows of the bashing that Nathaniel Hackett took from Broncos head coach Sean Payton. He stated that Hackett did the “worst coaching job ever” while he was with the Denver Broncos in 2022. On Sunday, after the win, Hackett received the game ball in recognition of overcoming the criticism.
How sweet is this?
After practice on Fridays, the #Jets always announce their fourth captain. This week, it was OC Nathaniel Hackett. When Coach Robert Saleh called it out, players went crazy.

Hackett worked with Aaron Rodgers at Green Bay. It all seems fair as to why the quarterback and offensive coordinator are now together in New York. Despite Rodgers’ season-ending ACL injury, he has every right to be happy for his play-caller after all of the talk leading up to the game on Sunday.
Jets Stats in Week 5
New York won by 10 points after a 72-yard touchdown run by running back Breece Hall after halftime. Hall had a career-high 177 total rushing yards in the win against the Broncos. The New York Jets never lost the lead after that point in the game.
Cornerback Bryce Hall ended the comeback for Denver on a 39-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown that gave them the 31-21 win. Zach Wilson went 19-26 for 199 yards and one interception with no touchdown passes.
This win not only solidifies Nathaniel Hackett’s place with the New York Jets, but it may keep opposing coaches from creating any further controversy moving forward.
