It is (almost) official. Aaron Rodgers will be a part of the New York Jets next season. The Packers and Jets just have to work out the compensation but all signs indicate that he will play in New York next season. As the announcement came through on the Pat McAfee Show, the Jets social media had a hilarious post about the situation.

New York Jets Twitter Has Hilarious Post About Aaron Rodgers
There is clearly some excitement in New York. The team posted the Leonardo DiCaprio meme but added a Jets hat to the famous actor. The Jets now bring in the future Hall of Fame quarterback to a young roster that seems ready to compete now. Last season ended in disappointing fashion as the quarterback play from Zach Wilson caused the team to sputter. Now, they bring stability to the position.

How Serious Are Jets As Contenders?
The AFC is a rough conference. The NFC is very weak but Rodgers joins a conference with Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, and many more. The division alone will be tough to win. The team will have to play at the top of their game if they are going to defeat some of the perennial contenders. Clearly, the Jets think they are a piece away but it will be interesting to hear the compensation when the teams figure this out.
In a situation that many fans were frustrated at, the hilarious post from social media adds some levity. This season now becomes even more interesting as the Jordan Love era has begun in Green Bay.
