New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard had some words for New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the media after Rodgers called MetLife Stadium, “JetLife Stadium” on Tuesday’s episode of Hard Knocks. The Jets have been showing swagger during their episodes and the Giants lost that game 32-24.
Sterling Shepard of the New York Giants told Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News:
“That’s what he called it? “JetLife” stadium? If that’s how he feels then that’s cool. I don’t feel that way. Obviosuly I feel like when we step on the turf that’s our home, we want to protect it. That’s what our job entails is to protect our home stadium.”
The New York Jets and the Giants have been sharing MetLife Stadium forever. For the first time this season instead of the NFL logo at the 50-yard line, when the Jets are home the Jets logo will be in the middle of the field, and when the Giants are home, the Giants logo will be at the 50-yard line.
