NBA rumors: James Harden no longer wants to play for the Philadelphia 76ers. His preferred destination for 2023-24 is the Los Angeles Clippers, where he hopes to link up with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Nothing substantial has materialized on that front, though, and it could have a lot to do with LA’s outlook on a potential blockbuster trade for the former league MVP.
NBA Rumors: Clippers ‘Fairly Unserious’ About Potential James Harden Trade

Kyle Neubeck of the Philly Voice recently provided a timely update on Harden’s links to the Clippers. Apparently, the reason why Harden’s rumored move to Los Angeles has not picked up steam is because the Clippers themselves haven’t been very enthusiastic with regard to a potential swoop for the 33-year-old:
“Even the Clippers, Harden’s preferred destination, have been fairly unserious about what they’re willing to give up in order to acquire him. The prevailing sentiment seems to be that Harden is still valued, but on the team’s terms, which is a shift from the franchise-defining clout Harden had at his peak,” Neubeck wrote.
Simply put, it sounds like the Clippers are unwilling to meet the Sixers’ asking price for Harden. It is worth noting that Philly has already made it clear that they are willing to have Harden return for another season, which at this point, is looking like a real possibility for the 10-time All-Star.
NBA Rumors: James Harden to Bucks?

Another team that has been linked to a potential trade for James Harden is the Milwaukee Bucks. Although, the rumors seem to be nothing more than theoretical as opposed to the Bucks actually showing significant interest in the Sixers’ want-away star.
A proposed trade package of Grayson Allen, Bobby Portis, Marjon Beauchamp, Pat Connaughton, and multiple draft picks has been floated. On paper, the outgoing salaries should match Harden’s incoming contract, which is worth $35.6 million for 2023-24. At this point, however, it doesn’t sound like the Bucks are interested at all.
