NBA rumors: It’s no secret that the Milwaukee Bucks are in need of a point guard who will back up Jrue Holiday this coming season. While new head coach Adrian Griffin does have a few options available, the fact of the matter is that Milwaukee has no natural point guard outside of Holiday — a dilemma the Bucks might be forced to address before the new season starts.
NBA Rumors: Bucks Part Ways With Grayson Allen in Trade Proposal

The Bucks recently decided to sign Thanasis Antetokounmpo as the 15th and final player on their roster. He’s not exactly a star, but you just know that letting the 6-foot-6 forward leave via free agency would not have sat well with younger brother Giannis Antetokounmpo.
That decision left the Bucks with no other natural point guard on their roster apart from Holiday. This means that if they did want to add a backup point guard, they would likely need to trade for one.
Dalton Sell of Behind the Bucks Pass addresses this exact situation in a recent article and he came up with three trade proposals that would land Milwaukee a new PG. However, Bucks fans might not be too happy about the fact that in all three trade proposals, the team will need to part ways with Grayson Allen.
Allen is the type of player who you love if he’s on your team, but despise if he’s not. Well, Bucks fans might be faced with this dilemma soon if they decide to offload the 6-foot-4 shooting guard this summer.
In the first scenario, Milwaukee will land Delon Wright from the Washington Wizards in a straight-up swap for Allen. The second proposal involves the Bucks sending Allen and their 2027 second-round pick to the Indiana Pacers for TJ McConnell. Finally, a third scenario was floated wherein Milwaukee lands Cameron Payne in exchange for Allen in a three-team deal involving the Charlotte Hornets and the San Antonio Spurs.
On paper, all three trade proposals seem to work. For the Bucks, this would solve their backup point guard problem. However, will this be worth parting ways with a fan favorite such as Grayson Allen?
