Fans reacted to major NBA news Sunday on a legendary player deciding to retire after 17 seasons in the league. The NBA has several big names that will consider retirement this offseason. But one of the better bench players in recent history will not play next season.
According to Shams Charania with The Athletic, Lou Williams announced he would not return for an 18th NBA season and is retiring.

Williams has had a legendary NBA career. He was taken in the second round of the 2005 NBA Draft (45th overall.) and managed to play over a decade and a half in the league. He won the Sixth Man of the Year award in 2015, 2018, and 2019. Williams scored 15,593 points and recorded 3,789 assists in his career. Those 13.9 points per game and 3.4 assists per game were pretty clutch coming off the bench.
