AJ Green’s Signing Brings the Milwaukee Bucks One Step Closer to Completion
Green went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft. Milwaukee used their first round pick on MarJon Beauchamp and their second round pick on French star Hugo Besson.
Green was signed after the draft and earned his spot on the Bucks’ roster after a strong showing during the NBA Summer League.
In his rookie season, Green averaged 4.4 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. He appeared in 35 games, averaging 9.9 minutes per contest.
Green impressed many with his highly accurate three-point shooting, draining 41.9% of his three-point attempts.
The Bucks’ roster now stands at 12:
- Giannis Antetokounmpo
- Khris Middleton
- Jrue Holiday
- Brook Lopez
- Grayson Allen
- Bobby Portis
- Malik Beasley
- Jae Crowder
- Pat Connaughton
- MarJon Beauchamp
- Robin Lopez
- AJ Green
Omari Moore, an undrafted free agent this offseason, was also signed to a two-way deal by Milwaukee.
Milwaukee’s next order of business should signing a backup point guard. Kendrick Nunn has been mentioned as a possible target, but the Bucks could opt to allow number 36 overall pick Andre Jackson Jr. fill that role instead.
