Giannis Antetokounmpo was named to the NBA’s All-Tournament team! Antetokounmpo averaged 29 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists in the tournament and led Milwaukee to the Semifinals. He joins some elite company on the All-Tournament team with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Tyrese Haliburton and Kevin Durant.
The voting process on who makes the All-Tournament team is decided by a media panel. Antetokounmpo was unanimously selected, receiving all 20 votes from the panel. The MVP of the tournament LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Tyrese Haliburton also received unanimous votes for their performances.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Dominated for the Milwaukee Bucks in First Ever In-Season Tournament
Behind Giannis Antetokounmpo’s dominance, the Milwaukee Bucks went undefeated in pool play, going 4-0 and advancing to knockout stage. They took out the New York Knicks in the Quarterfinal with a score of 146-122. The Bucks 146 total points were the most they have put up in a single game all season.
The Bucks made the trip to Las Vegas for the Semifinals. Where they were eliminated from the In-Season Tournament after losing the Semifinal matchup versus Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers with a score of 128-119.

In the knockout games, Antetokounmpo averaged 36 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists while shooting 68.3 percent from the field on 41 shot attempts, which is ridiculous. While the dice may have rolled the wrong way for Antetokounmpo, all 20 votes from the media panel were deserved for his performance in the first ever In-Season Tournament.
Giannis and the Bucks currently sit at second place in the Eastern Conference with a 15-7 record and have their eyes set on obtaining the number one seed in the East. They will have a chance to do so tonight versus the Chicago Bulls.
