MLB Trade Rumors: You never know what will happen around the time of the MLB trade deadline. Already this year we have seen Max Scherzer waive his full no-trade clause in order to join the Texas Rangers. Earlier in the week similar talks were being had with one NL Central superstar. His President of Baseball Operations has now revealed his plans an eight time All-Star, 10 time gold glover winner, and five time silver slugger.

John Mozeliak of the St. Louis Cardinals reveals his trade deadline stance on superstar Nolan Arenado (MLB Trade Rumors).
According to an article from Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch John Mozeliak has indicated that Nolan Arenado will not be traded. He indicated being focused on future success as a primary reason.
“I have stated we are not trading him, have not asked him to waive his no-trade clause. So at this time we are working on building for future success.”
With Nolan Arenado being off the trade block it is still likely that the Cardinals will look to shop other players. Alec Burleson, Jack Flaherty, Jordan Montgomery and Jordan Hicks are all names that have been mentioned in trade rumors.
The trade deadline is August 1, so Cardinals fans should know which players are included in John Mozeliak’s future plans in a few days. As indicated Nolan Arenado is expected to remain with St. Louis.
