MLB Trade Rumors: The Los Angeles Dodgers have already added a few bats through trade. A deal with the Boston Red Sox reunited them with utility player Kiké Hernández and a trade with the Cleveland Guardians netted them shortstop Amed Rosario. Around the league the latest rumblings from Jorge Castillo are that they are in pursuit of a superstar third baseman.

Los Angeles Dodgers linked to St. Louis Cardinals superstar Nolan Arenado (MLB Trade Rumors).
Prior to the start of the 2021 season Nolan Arenado was traded from the Colorado Rockies to the St. Louis Cardinals for LHP Austin Gomber, 3B Elehuris Montero, RHP Tony Locey, SS Mateo Gil and RHP Jake Sommers. At that time he was in the middle of an eight year, $260 MM contract that includes a full-no trade clause but it did have a few opt out opportunities.
A season ago after winning the NL Central Division Nolan Arenado elected to remain with the Cardinals and not exercise his opt out. With the Red Birds struggling this year they are now reportedly in trade talks with the Dodgers in which he has four full seasons left on his contract.
It would take quite a significant haul for the Dodgers to land Arenado plus he would have to give the final stamp of approval. The fact that the two sides are having trade talks doesn’t guarantee anything, so it will be interesting to see if the two sides come to terms or not.
