MLB Trade Rumors: Earlier today it was reported that the Seattle Mariners were open to listening to offers on three of their players. Those players were pitcher Paul Sewald, outfielder Teoscar Hernandez, and first baseman Ty France.
Since that report Paul Sewald has been traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks and outfielder Teoscar Hernandez is starting to generate a lot of trade buzz. Per Jon Morosi at least half a dozen teams are interested in him.
Trade talks regarding Seattle Mariners outfielder Teoscar Hernandez are heating up (MLB Trade Rumors).
Jon Morosi also goes on to reveal three of the half dozen teams that have expressed interest in the outfielder. He lists the Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays, and San Francisco Giants as three of the involved teams.
The Phillies are reportedly in the mix for adding a right-handed bat, so Teoscar Hernandez would fit that mold. Toronto is Hernandez’s most recent team in which an offseason trade sent him to Seattle initially. San Francisco loves to target veteran players and he would improve their offense.
It will be interesting to see if the Mariners elect to part ways with their big home run and RBI threat or not. A postseason berth is within reach and that fan base would love to see them in the playoffs for a second consecutive season.
