MLB rumors are starting to heat up because the trade deadline is a little over one month away. This is year two of expanded play-offs and so far the consequence of that has been less teams wanting to sell earlier on in the season. However, soon teams will have to decide if they are buyers or sellers.
One team that is currently not interested in selling is the Pittsburgh Pirates. They got off to a tremendous start to the season but have been a sinking ship in the months of May and June that was highlighted by a ten game losing streak.
Despite currently being adamant on not selling, per Jon Morosi this has not stopped the Texas Rangers from inquiring about the long time Pirate, also former San Francisco Giant, New York Yankee, Milwaukee Brewer, and Philadelphia Philly, Andrew McCutchen.
MLB Rumors: Andrew McCutchen being heavily pursued by the Texas Rangers.
If a Pirates-Rangers trade was to occur it would reunite Andrew McCutchen with current Texas manager Bruce Bochy. Bochy and McCutchen were together in 2018 when they were both members of the Giants.
Also indicated by Jon Morosi is that the Rangers would have even more interest in trading for Andrew McCutchen if a pitcher was included in the deal as well. So far the Pirates seem content on not parting ways with their previous franchise player who just returned to them on a one year deal this off-season, but a lot can happen over the course of the next month.

The brewers needs to stop trading these players or we will never win a championship.
