The Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs kicked off a four game series on Monday, July 3. Their first game provided a ton of entertainment and scoring as 14 total runs were scored. Chicago put the first six runs of the game on the board and then Milwaukee the final eight.
Cubs batters teed off of Brewers starting pitcher Julio Teheran early in the game. Teheran was pounding the strike zone and Chicago’s aggressive approach at the plate worked out. The script started to flip in the third when Milwaukee cut the lead in half.
It would remain a 6-3 ball game until the seventh inning when newly acquired Brewer Jahmai Jones cleared the bases and tied the game by mashing a double on the first pitch he saw. An inning later Milwaukee got a go-ahead RBI from Willy Adames and then an insurance RBI SAC fly from Owen Miller.
After the game Chicago Cubs fans took to twitter to express their frustration.

What an absolutely pathetic joke of a team this team is. Madrigal hurt again because of course. I’ve had it watching Happ and Seiya at the plate. Bullpen implodes again. Offense silent after 2 innings. Blow it up. I’m glad I saw 2016 because this team isn’t winning 80 games.
