They brought in Hunter Renfroe during the offseason and traded for Eduardo Escobar and Mike Moustakas mid-season. Despite their best efforts superstar Mike Trout has been injured and their season may be in jeopardy due to this.

The Angels have not provided a timeline for Mike Trout yet but they did reveal that he has a hand fracture. Specifically he has a fracture to the hamate bone. This is a commonly injured carpal bone among baseball players.
Players who have sustained this injury the past have previously been given 6-8 week timelines with some not starting a rehab assignment closer to the two month mark. Each player is different, but expect that Mike Trout will be out for quite some time.
At the time of this publication the Angels have a 45-42 record and are third in the AL West division. They are 3.5 games back of the Wild Card.
