The Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers are preparing for their biggest matchup of the season to date. Both teams sit at 7-8 with just two weeks remaining in the season. The winner of Sunday’s matchup will still have a chance to make the playoffs, while the loser will have to start looking to next season.
The initial injury report was released and it revealed that one star wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings is in danger of not playing.
Minnesota Vikings Star Wide Receiver Jordan Addison Is Unable To Practice Prior To Massive Matchup Against The Green Bay Packers
ESPN.com’s Kevin Seifert reports that head coach Kevin O’Connell classified Addison (ankle) as day-to-day Tuesday.
After Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday that Addison was being considered week-to-week due to an ankle sprain, O’Connell didn’t give many details regarding how severe the injury is. However, the “day-to-day” label paints a rosier picture of his health than the week-to-week label does.
It would be another significant blow to the Vikings’ offense who just lost star tight end T.J. Hockenson to a torn ACL/MCL.
Addison has caught 63 passes for 826 yards and 9 touchdowns across 15 games played so far this season.
