What the Miami Heat pulled off Tuesday night on the road against the Milwaukee Bucks was simply remarkable. Conversely, it was another embarrassment for the Bucks, who failed to solve a banged-up Heat squad in front of their home crowd. The Bucks fell prey to Miami, 123-97, and after the game, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra gave his players props that Doc Rivers might well have been left wishing he was the one saying that following the contest.

“You talk about the guys we’re plugging in to play, they’ve all played a bunch of quality minutes,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “It’s not as if you’re playing guys where you’re not really sure whether they can impact winning. These guys have done that. They’ve earned that. They’ve proven that. We have a bunch of competitors in our locker room.”
The Milwaukee Bucks Falter Anew Under Doc Rivers
The Heat were missing a franchise cornerstone in Jimmy Butler, who did not play in the Milwaukee Bucks game because of personal reasons. Moreover, Miami also played without Josh Richardson and Terry Rozier, as both are still sidelined with injuries. There shouldn’t have been a reason for the Milwaukee Bucks to lose that contest, let alone be blown out that badly. The remaining healthy and available bodies on Miami’s roster on Tuesday played with an extreme desire to score a win, as the Bucks got outplayed on both ends of the court.
It’s another dose of reality for the Bucks, who looked as though they finally had it all figured out when they scored back-to-back wins before the debacle against the Heat.
The Bucks will take a rest Wednesday before getting back to work on Thursday in a road game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
