Miami Wins the last regular season meeting
The Miami Heat really had the Milwaukee Bucks number tonight. Duncan Robinson has 23. Nikola Jovic led all scorers with 24 points. Miami just had Milwaukee’s number.
In what will feel like a small consolation to Bucks fans, Milwaukee won the season series 2-1.
The now (35-20) Milwaukee Bucks were defeated by the now (29-25) Miami at home on Tuesday night (123-97). The Heat put together a magical shooting night going 19-40 (48%) from three.
Milwaukee has one more game remaining on Thursday against Memphis (in Memphis) before the all-star break.
The Bucks dug themselves a hole in the first half. They were down 69-52.

The Bucks were 37-83 (44.6%) from the field. They ended the game with 38 team rebounds, well below their season average.
Here are the studs in the tough loss.
Giannis Antetokounmpo
23/11/8 is still a good line for the Bucks superstar.
In an interesting tidbit, Giannis never made it to the line. The Heat defense was designed to stop him with the infamous “Great wall of Giannis”.
For a driving, attacking Giannis not making it to the line is very, very unusual.
He was (11-18) from the field and missed a careless three (1-2).

Malik Beasley
Beasley had another “workman-like” performance tonight. He had 16 points, three steals and three rebounds. He played well. He was (4-8) from three. Beasley was also (6-10) from the field.
Beasley will participate in the NBA three point shooting contest during the all-star break.
Da Duds
Jae Crowder
Something just did not look right tonight. Crowder played 18 minutes, had one field goal, one rebound, one assist and one turnover. It was not all that productive of a performance.
In the win against Miami on Oct. 30th Crowder had 8 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and a blocked shot. That was in 25 game minutes.
There is no way seven minutes would make that much of a difference. Crowder needs to add some offensive production for this team.
Damian Lillard
In the game two win against on November 28th, Lillard had 32 points. Tonight he had 16.
This was a tough game for the all-star on a back-to-back.

Other Notes from around the league
- Is it time to consider the Oklahoma City Thunder as legitimate title contenders? The Thunder defeated the Magic (127-113). Jalen Williams led the way with 33 points for OKC. The 2022 1st round pick has had a great season so far. OKC is a ½ game out of the number one seed in the West.
- Boston beat the Nets tonight. Boston leads the season series 3-0.
- The Suns and Kings were involved in a shoot out at the time this was published. The teams put in a solid 77 points- in the first quarter- on the Tuesday night slate of NBA action. (That’s on pace for a 308 point total.
- Phoenix is currently the #6 seed in the Western Conference.
