There will be several pending free agents on the Milwaukee Bucks roster. With the NBA Finals officially over, the Bucks can technically negotiate with their own free agents, but they can not negotiate contracts with players who will be free agents from other NBA teams yet.
General manager Jon Horst will need to decide which pending free agents to keep and which ones not to bring back. One of the biggest issues with the Milwaukee Bucks this season was the bench play outside of Bobby Portis Jr. He was a finalist for the Sixth Man of the Year Award, but Naz Reid of the Minnesota Timberwolves won it.

It might be in the best interest for the Milwaukee Bucks not to bring back any of the pending free agents on the roster for the 2024-2025 season. However, there will be one or two players that general manager Jon Horst will bring back that this fanbase will question.
Dairylandexpress.com Writer Brian Sampson Believes That the Milwaukee Bucks Will Not Bring Back Thanasis Antetokounmpo For the 2024-2025 Season

Thanasis Antetokounmpo has spent the last five seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks. He also started his NBA career with the New York Knicks in 2015-2016. Antetokounmpo has been riding the bench.

One can argue that he has had a spot on this roster because of his brother Giannis Antetokounmpo. With Thanasis Antetokounmpo being a free agent, they should not bring him back and use a roster spot on someone else.
Dairylandexpress.com writer Brian Sampson believes Thanasis Antetokounmpo will be one of five players who will not be back next season. Sampson said:
“Thanasis Antetokounmpo wouldn’t be on this list if it weren’t for a torn achillies he suffered following the season. Although he’s not an NBA-quality player and is only on the roster because of his brother, Giannis Antetokounmpo, he has been a great teammate and elite energy guy at the end of the bench.
However, it’s not worth bringing him back and paying his salary plus the luxury tax penalities for a guy who will be out the entire season, especially one who doesn’t contribute on the court.
Antetokounmpo might have another role next season, although I doubt it will be in a formal coaching capacity. Still, keep an eye out for him and how he remains involved in Milwaukee next season and beyond.”
In 34 games played last season with the Milwaukee Bucks, he averaged 0.9 PPG, 0.4 RPG, 0.5 APG, 0.1 BPG, and 0.2 SPG. Thanisas Antetokounmpo is 31 years old and Milwaukee needs to get younger with its roster decisions.
