After getting selected to represent Team USA in the Olympics, Los Angeles Sparks forward Cameron Brink tore her ACL, placing her out of action for an indefinite period of time. Among the personalities who have wished her well is Milwaukee Bucks star Patrick Beverley.
Brink suffered a torn ACL that will sideline her for the remainder of the WNBA season and the upcoming Paris Olympics. She had to be helped off the court after the injury occurred during the first quarter of the Sparks’ 79-70 loss to the Connecticut Sun.

The promising young star, selected 2nd overall in the draft, played just four minutes and committed one foul before she got injured while driving to the basket. Brink was carried off the floor by trainers, and the Sparks confirmed she will miss the rest of her rookie campaign.
This is a significant setback for both the Sparks and Team USA. Brink was a featured member of the WNBA’s highly touted rookie class, contributing to a surge in the league’s popularity. She was also slated to represent the United States in 3×3 basketball at the Paris Olympics, but Team USA will now have to find a replacement.
