The Milwaukee Bucks made it two wins in two games on Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers. Patrick Beverley was very much looking forward to that matchup as he had an opportunity to face off against one of his former teams and a number of his ex-teammates.
One of them was Paul George, who apparently, was involved in some friendly banter with Pat Bev ahead of Sunday’s game. As it turns out, it was all for nothing.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Patrick Beverley Calls Out Paul George
In a recent episode of The Pat Bev Pod, the Bucks guard shared how he got himself all riled up for Sunday’s showdown against George and the Clippers. What he did not expect, however, was that George ended up sitting out the game due to injury:
“I got to be prepared. PG go try to cook my a** straight up,” Beverley said. “I look on the board (and said), ‘PJ Tucker? Amir Coffey? Wait a minute. Hang on. Have I been fooled?'”
Beverley then shared the conversation he had with the Clippers star the moment he realized that George wasn’t going to show up to the game:
“So I see him on the bench, (I say), ‘What’s up, man? Are you ducking me? … We talked. You said you going to be here Sunday. I’m in the alley waiting with my pistol in my hand. Where yo a** at?’ But no it was good vibes.”
Beverley and George are close friends so this was all in good fun. In fact, Pat Bev revealed that he even drew out a major admission from his buddy after the Bucks had secured a 124-117 victory over the Clippers:
“At the end of the game, (I asked him), ‘So I won this year?’ He (said), ‘You won this year.’ Love gang,” Beverley said.
