Right before the NBA trade deadline passed, the Milwaukee Bucks made a move by acquiring Patrick Beverley from the Philadelphia 76ers. Weeks after, the gritty point guard goes out to say what seemed to be the difference between his time in Philly and Milwaukee.
At this point in time, the Bucks have a 2-2 record ever since Beverley was acquired from the Sixers. After winning a pair of games against the Charlotte Hornets and Denver Nuggets, Milwaukee lost to the Memphis Grizzlies and Miami Heat.
It should be noted that the latter teams don’t have their best players present in Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jimmy Butler, respectively. This detail generated more backlash towards Doc Rivers’ coaching stint in Milwaukee, which has now dropped the team’s record to 35-21.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Patrick Beverley Blasts Casual Fans Questioning His Love For Philadelphia 76ers
With this stretch of games for the Bucks now behind him, Beverley goes on his podcast and recalled a conversation he had with Tobias Harris, his former teammate in Philadelphia. In it, he described the difference between playing for Philly and Milwaukee.
“The biggest difference between [the] Sixers and Bucks is that in Milwaukee, everybody wants to win, and it’s not about stats. It’s not about who gets the ball.”

After coming out with the opinion, Beverley got some reactions from Philly fans. This prompted the Bucks guard to react on his own about all the criticism he got from them.
“Please casual fans. Philly is a big part of my success and Pod World. I could not and will not say anything bad about my time there. Thanks for everything Philly. Can’t wait 2 C Yal Feb 24th Lapstone Hammer 1106 chestnut street 5-7pm,” Beverley posted on X.
With that message, Beverley managed to shut down fans from causing further hate for him. Now, the Bucks’ reserve can focus on All-Star Weekend and getting some much-needed rest before Milwaukee enters the regular season’s final stretch.
