Milwaukee Bucks second-year forward MarJon Beauchamp won’t be playing on Wednesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers. This is after the Bucks decided to send the 23-year-old down to the Wisconsin Herd ahead of their much-anticipated rematch against the Cavs.
Beauchamp will now want to make some waves in the NBA G League as he looks to impress new head coach Doc Rivers.
Milwaukee Bucks Send MarJon Beauchamp to G League
Bucks beat reporter Eric Nehm of The Athletic reported on Wednesday that Beauchamp will be re-joining the Herd for their game against the Birmingham Squadron:
The Bucks have assigned MarJon Beauchamp to the Wisconsin Herd, per the team.
The Herd play the Birmingham Squadron in Oshkosh tonight at 6pm.

Beauchamp hasn’t seen minutes for the Bucks in four out of the last five games. The last time he took the court was on January 17 against the Cavs as Milwaukee got themselves blown out by 40 points.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was a late scratch for that game, thereby opening some minutes for Beauchamp. The former back-to-back MVP is expected to suit up tonight (he is probable with a shoulder injury), which means that there’s going to be no room for Beauchamp in the rotation.
The last time Beuachamp took a trip to the G League, he was quickly called back up after just one game with the Herd. It remains to be seen if this will be the case again for the 6-foot-6 small forward now that the Bucks have a new head coach sitting at the helm.
Whatever the case might be, Beauchamp will need to work extremely hard in the coming weeks to prove to Doc Rivers that he deserves a spot in the rotation.
