The Milwaukee Bucks welcomed Jae Crowder back into the rotation on Wednesday in their gutting blowout loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The veteran swingman wasn’t able to do anything to stop his team from suffering their worst loss of the season, but the mere fact that he’s back is a significant development for the Bucks.
Crowder’s return, however, also means that there are going to be some changes in the rotation as the squad gets back to full strength.
3 Milwaukee Bucks Players Send Down to Wisconsin Herd
The Bucks appear to have already started tweaking their lineup amid Crowder’s return. This comes in the form of three of their rotational players getting sent down to the NBA G League to spend some time with the Wisconsin Herd.
According to Bucks beat reporter Eric Nehm of The Athletic, a trio of players will be suiting up for the Herd in the coming days:
“The Bucks have assigned MarJon Beauchamp, AJ Green and Chris Livingston to the Wisconsin Herd, per the team,” Nehm reported.
Nehm also notes that Wisconsin is in action on Thursday against the College Park Skyhawks, which will likely have all three of the above players getting some run with the G League squad.
MarJon Beauchamp is the biggest name among the trio, with the second-year small forward averaging 15.7 minutes per contest this year. At this point, however, it would not be a complete surprise if he ends up losing playing time amid Crowder’s return.
The same could be the case — albeit in varying degrees — for shooting guard AJ Green (7.8 minutes per contest) and rookie wing Chris Livingston (4.8 minutes per game).
It remains unclear when the trio will be called back up to the Bucks.
UPDATE: Milwaukee has decided to re-call all three players after just one game with the Herd:
All three players have been recalled, per the team. https://t.co/7DmIoReXnr

There’s nothing at all gutting about a loss to a great team when the best player on earth isn’t on the floor (and maybe you should go fishing or look up the term gutting; it’s not really appropriate to ANY privileged person who has the free time to watch sports all day). In the past few seasons, the Bucks had better roster construction and often beat teams when Big G sat, the vets and young talent helping to get W’s.
It’s also not a significant development for the Bucks to send Marjon down. He’s completely lost confidence (maybe faith, as he IS a religious idiot). It’s a significant SETBACK for Marjon. In fact, it may be the end of his career and proof that he’s a bust who really can’t play because he has a very, very low BBIQ (which is sad with that athleticism; Jordan Nwora, on the other hand, had a decent BBIQ, but was a terrible athlete). A shame we can’t combine those two guys. Of course, the timing was so they could get a lot of playing time and be called back up immediately (that’s the typical MO with players like this), BUT it was truly embarrassing that a bum like Sam Merrill had a better game for the Cavs than Marjon did for the Bucks. Might have been nice if you’d have posted what the boys did in their G League appearances.
Oh, and amid is TERRIBLE usage. It makes no sense to say in the middle of or surrounded by someone’s return. Due to or in light of would have been better choices, and I’m not even sure I agree with what you are saying there.
If Marjon has lost playing time it’s because he’s TERRIBLE. Not due to someone’s return. After all, Pat hasn’t been very good this year, Bobby is athletically washed up (can’t dunk anymore), and Cam has been most awful (Ajax should have his minutes).
If Marjon can’t take all of Pat’s minutes and some of Bobby’s, it may be time to move on and consider him a bust. Let some other team try to develop him (though his REAL IQ may make that impossible). The only way to dump the bad contracts of Pat, Bobby or Cam might be to attach a talented player, and Marjon is the only real choice.
I had high hopes for him because he was homeless once, but the truth is he’s a greater disappointment in the last 20 years than any promising draft pick by the Bucks. I blame religion, the scourge of black people throughout history, the fact that it made him a narcissist who believes he’s a chosen one who doesn’t have to work on his craft. Just look at his X account. He isn’t smart enough to get through the 5th grade.
