Heading into Tuesday’s preseason contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder, a lot of the attention was centered on Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard — and rightfully so. Milwaukee’s new superstar duo was set to make just their second appearance together which, unfortunately, did not turn out too well for the Bucks.
Giannis (unsurprisingly) balled out against OKC, but Lillard struggled mightily. The Thunder ended up dominating the contest en route to a 123-101 win at the Fiserv Forum.
Malik Beasley Steals Show for Milwaukee Bucks

One man who absolutely stepped up to the occasion was offseason recruit Malik Beasley. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard finished with a game-high 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting. Beasley went off from beyond the arc draining six out of his 11 attempts from deep.
The 26-year-old rounded out his noteworthy performance with four rebounds, an assist, one steal, and zero turnovers. The best part about all this is probably the fact that he did all that in just 20 minutes of action.
“Definitely nice to see some shots go down,” Beasley said, via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “I got a lot of open shots from Dame and Giannis having all the attention on them. I knew that coming into the season, but my main focus is still defense.”

While Khris Middleton is expected to be the biggest beneficiary of the Bucks’ new superstar tandem, other guys on the team will also get a lot of open chances with opposing defenses gravitating towards Giannis and Lillard. It will just be a matter of the other guys taking advantage of these opportunities.
Malik Beasley did just that on Tuesday night.
