Technically speaking, the Milwaukee Bucks did not trade Jrue Holiday to the Boston Celtics. What they did this summer was to ship him off to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of the Damian Lillard blockbuster deal.
The Blazers had no interest in Holiday, though, and they quickly flipped him to Boston, where he is now set to play an integral role in the Celtics’ quest for a championship.
Jrue Holiday Gets Honest on Milwaukee Bucks Trade
Ahead of Wednesday’s marquee matchup between the Bucks and the Celtics, Holiday was asked to share his thoughts on his summer exit from Milwaukee. The two-time All-Star got brutally honest in his response:
“A warning would’ve been cool,” he said. “But other than that, I’m in the best place that I can be to compete against them, which is for the top team in the East and, hopefully, the top team in the league.”

Being the professional that he is, it is clear that Holiday has now moved on from the fact that Milwaukee dropped him this past offseason. However, there’s also no denying that he still feels a bit aggrieved by how things went down.
Milwaukee Bucks Fans React
Bucks fans caught wind of Holiday’s pre-game comments and a lot of them could not help but get all emotional. After all, the five-time All-Defense guard was a crucial part of the team during his spell in Milwaukee, and it was hard for the supporters to see him go.
We hurt him mayn…I've got too much love for him😭😭💔💔

Just imagine how bad Bucks fans are going to feel if it’s Jrue Holiday who leads the Celtics to a win on Wednesday.
