Some Milwaukee Bucks fans are probably still reeling from the fact that Jrue Holiday is no longer with the team. It only makes it worse that he’s joined the enemy following his blockbuster trade to the Boston Celtics.
Well, Holiday in Boston’s colors is something that Milwaukee supporters will just have to get used to. On Wednesday, the two-time All-Star started the new chapter of his career in his first-ever game for the Celtics.
Ex-Milwaukee Bucks Star Jrue Holidays Debuts for Boston

Holiday did not exactly have a stellar debut for his new team as they took on the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden. The 33-year-old finished with nine points, four rebounds, two assists, three blocks, and two turnovers in 35 minutes of action. He looked a bit rusty too, going 4-of-10 on his shots, including 1-of-5 from distance.
The three blocks obviously pop out, though. Unsurprisingly, Holiday was a defensive menace in this one, and he was able to give us a preview of what we can expect from him now that he’s in Boston.

Jrue Holiday Reacts to Celtics Debut

As Bucks fans have gotten to know all too well, Holiday’s contributions to the team go way beyond the box score. This was exactly the case on Wednesday as he helped Boston secure a 108-104 victory over the Knicks.
After the game, Holiday was all business as he talked about his first game as a Celtic:
“It felt good,” he said. “Definitely a good test. It’s fun to get out there. Obviously, fun to play in Madison Square Garden, first game.”

Boston fans should be happy to know that there’s going to be much more where that came from.
