The Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to fire Adrian Griffin took many by surprise, especially after leading the team to a second seed in the Eastern Conference just recently.
As a result, there have been quite a number of reactions going live in the media about Griffin’s termination from the Bucks. Some personalities have blasted Milwaukee’s decision, like Gilbert Arenas did. Meanwhile, Shaquille O’Neal dropped an interesting take on Doc Rivers, the individual slated to replace Griffin as the team’s new head coach.
Whether the decision to fire Griffin holds some ground or not will certainly remain behind closed doors. What’s definite, though, is the effect it has on other coaches in the NBA.

Speaking before the media, the Dallas Mavericks head coach dropped a chilling take on the Bucks’ recent decision to terminate Adrian Griffin.
According to a tweet by Brad Townsend:
Kidd says Adrian Griffin’s firing “puts all other coaches on alert” that they can be fired even with one of the NBA’s best records.
It should be remembered that Griffin held a 30-13 record before getting sacked by Milwaukee. That places his record as the second-best in the Eastern Conference, just behind the top-seeded Boston Celtics.
This recent development has caused many to wonder whether Giannis Antetokounmpo had a hand in Griffin’s firing, or the front office just wanted a coach who could make the most out of the Greek Freak’s prime with Damian Lillard.
Now, the Milwaukee Bucks have moved on from Griffin and replaced him with Rivers, a one-time Coach of the Year and NBA champion. It remains to be seen whether he can go beyond what Griffin did with the team and help them return to the NBA Finals this season.
