Milwaukee Bucks veteran Jae Crowder has already gone beyond the initial eight-week timetable he was given after having to undergo surgery on his left adductor. The 6-foot-6 swingman has been working diligently with the medical team to get himself ready for an eventual return, which as it turns out, is now upon us.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Jae Crowder to Return Vs. Cavs
After weeks of speculation, Crowder is now officially back in the mix of the Bucks. NBA guru Shams Charania reported on Tuesday that the 33-year-old has finally been cleared for action on Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers:
“Milwaukee Bucks forward Jae Crowder – out for last two months with core muscle surgery – has been cleared to return to the lineup Wednesday vs. the Cavaliers in Cleveland, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Crowder is among Bucks leaders in minutes per game, impacting both ends,” Shams reported.
Confirming Charania’s report, Crowder also is not listed on the Bucks’ official injury report for Wednesday’s game. The only player listed is two-way guard TyTy Washington Jr., which means that it’s a clean bill of health for Milwaukee. Finally.
Crowder will almost certainly have a minutes limit on Wednesday and perhaps for the foreseeable future. The Bucks have been taking a cautious approach on the health of their veteran 3-and-D wing, which also means that he likely won’t be back up to full speed until after a couple of weeks.
In nine games played for Milwaukee this season, Crowder has averaged 8.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 26.7 minutes per contest, while also knocking down 1.8 triples on a 51.6 percent clip.
