The Milwaukee Bucks were facing the Indiana Pacers for the second time in three days. Milwaukee once again fell to Indiana by a final score of 142-130. This is the fourth time this season that the Pacers have taken down the Bucks.
They have played each other five times this season and they will not face each other again possibly until the playoffs if it were to happen. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for the Milwaukee Bucks with 26 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, one block, and three steals.
After the game was over, Antetokounmpo told Matthew Dugandzic of Sports Illustrated about them losing to the Indiana Pacers four times in five tries this season by saying:
“I know right now, it feels like the end of the world, but it’s not the end of the world. It’s good because we’re going to play with more urgency, we’re going to respect opponents more, we’re going to execute better, and now, I think we realize as a team that there are teams out there that can beat us four times in a season.”
Milwaukee dropped to 24-10 on the season and Indiana improved to 19-14 on the season with the win. This has become a rivalry in the NBA.
Four Other Players Score In Double Figures For the Milwaukee Bucks In the Loss Against the Indiana Pacers
Even with the Bucks losing against the Pacers, they had four other players score in double figures, along with Giannis Antetokounmpo. Damian Lillard scored 23 points, grabbed two rebounds, recorded five assists, and recorded three steals.
Khris Middleton added 19 points, Brook Lopez added 16 points, and MarJon Beauchamp scored 12 points off the bench and also grabbed three rebounds for the Bucks. Milwaukee’s defense appears to be in shambles at the current moment and it appears as if it isn’t going to be fixed any time soon.
That could be a major problem come playoff time in the NBA. The Bucks have a lethal offense, but the defense appears to be Swiss cheese. Head coach Adrian Griffin Jr. has received some heat from the fanbase this season and it will continue if they don’t fix this defense.
