Milwaukee Bucks news: The Indiana Pacers flipped the script on Monday night when they took down the Boston Celtics in the quarterfinals of the NBA’s inaugural In-Season Tournament. The Celtics were deemed the favorites to go all the way and become the first-ever IST champions, but apparently, Tyrese Haliburton and Co. were not having any of that.
The bookmakers have now updated the odds for the tournament title, and Bucks fans will be glad to know that their team is now the favorite to win it all.
Milwaukee Bucks Favored to Win In-Season Tournament
According to the updated odds presented by Fox Sports, the Bucks now have +300 odds to win the IST. This does not come as a complete surprise considering how the Celtics are no longer in contention for the title.
Milwaukee, however, will need to get through the New York Knicks on Tuesday night first before they advance to the next round. A win against the Knicks will earn Milwaukee a spot in the semifinals in Las Vegas where Haliburton and the Pacers are waiting.
It is worth noting that along with the Bucks, the New Orleans Pelicans are the joint favorites to win the tournament. Zion Williamson and Co. are fresh off their massive quarterfinal win against the Sacramento Kings and have now been given +300 odds to win it all.
The Los Angeles Lakers, who battle the Phoenix Suns in the final quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday, are tied with the Pacers with +450 odds to go home as the IST champs.
