Milwaukee Bucks fans were delighted to see Giannis Antetokounmpo play in the Olympics. While Greece didn’t progress farther than some rabid Bucks fans would have hoped, Paris witnessed how great the Greek Freak has been for Milwaukee over the past decade.
Now that Paris is done and dusted, Giannis and the rest of the NBA athletes who showed up in Paris are now zeroed in on their preparations for the coming NBA season. However, that doesn’t mean that the players can’t kick it back a bit before training camp starts.
Everyone knows how animated Giannis is as a person off the hardwood. His magnetic personality has some fans wanting Giannis to make reaction content they can consume while the season is still months away.
Another manifestation of Giannis’ magnetic personality comes to light as a recent interaction has fans fascinated.
Giannis Antetokounmpo makes WILD offer for rare Team USA card
ClutchPoints’ Nathan Yasis reports that Giannis reportedly made an insane offer for a rare Team USA card that had LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant’s signatures. It’s a one-of-one card that will have the most avid card collectors salivating at the thought of owning it.
He reportedly made an amazing $150,000 offer for the rights to own it, but there are talks that his already incredible offer is a bit of a lowball:
Topps revealed on Instagram that Giannis Antetokounmpo recently offered $150,000 on an IG Stories post to buy the Topps NOW 1/1 triple autograph card featuring Team USA’s Big Three.
Antetokounmpo’s bid is for a card that hasn’t been released yet and likely won’t reach collectors until September. However, his offer is considered relatively low.
It remains to be seen if Giannis will still be on the chase once bigger offers come into play, but it’s fascinating to know that he’s as invested in basketball as the everyday fan.
Milwaukee Bucks fans expect more of the same from the Greek Freak
While Giannis is doing whatever he wants in the offseason, Bucks fans hope that he’ll be able to do more of what he was doing last year when the new season kicks off.
The 29-year-old didn’t play in the playoffs, but he was a solid contributor to the Bucks’ success last year. He averaged 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists in 73 starts for the Bucks last year. Fans hope he and Damian Lillard will carry the Bucks into a deep postseason run next year.
