Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped the 38th triple-double of his career on Monday night. It was all for nothing, though, as the Indiana Pacers secured an impressive 122-113 victory at the Fiserv Forum to improve to 3-1 against the Bucks this season.
The good news for Milwaukee is that they get a shot at some revenge when they battle the Pacers again at Indiana on Wednesday.
Giannis Antetkounmpo Reacts to Milwaukee Bucks’ Loss Vs. Pacers
Giannis spoke to the press after the game to discuss the loss, which the seven-time All-Star attributed to Milwaukee’s defense falling apart when it mattered the most:
“At the end of the day I feel like it was a stops game and we wasn’t able to get stops and they were able to get the win,” Antetokounmpo said, via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Tyrese Haliburton torched the Bucks in crunch time as he carried the Pacers to a big win against their Central Division rivals. Once again, the 23-year-old proved that he is one of the top point guards in the NBA today. Unfortunately for Milwaukee, Haliburton did so at their expense.
Giannis Looking Forward to Pacers Rematch
The Bucks and the Pacers do it all again on Wednesday in Indiana. As Giannis said, Milwaukee has a couple of days to make the necessary adjustments ahead of their upcoming rematch:
“We gotta figure it out,” Antetokounmpo continued. “You never know, we might see them in the playoffs. We’re going to see them again in two days. At the end of the day this makes us better. Makes us better. Gotta go watch the tapes, figure out what they do well against us and try to stop it. And if we cannot stop it we’ll probably lose again.”
The Bucks are now down 3-1 in their season series against the Pacers. At this point, it appears that Indiana does have their number. Giannis and Co. will be out to disprove this notion come Wednesday night.
