In the Milwaukee Bucks’ last two games, Giannis Antetokounmpo has amassed 89 points on 34-of-47 shooting, 22 rebounds, 10 assists, four steals, and two blocks in 73 minutes of action.
Regardless of his superhuman-like play, however, the Bucks have suffered losses in both games. It is clear that the former back-to-back MVP is doing everything he can to carry his team but at least over the past two games, the rest of the squad has not been able to live up to their end of the bargain.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Puts Milwaukee Bucks on Notice
Antetokounmpo was critical in his post-game comments as he called out the Bucks for their lack of effort and execution in their latest loss. The former back-to-back MVP had a similar declaration on Twitter a day after their defeat against the Orlando Magic:
“We have to take it up a notch,” Giannis wrote in his tweet.

To be fair to Giannis, not only has he been putting up some pretty insane numbers over the past couple of games — especially with Damian Lillard out injured — but he’s also taking responsibility for his team’s struggles.
Antetokounmpo knows that it all starts with him. He’s been leading by example of late, but it still hasn’t been enough. The seven-time All-Star knows that he needs to push himself even further in order to bring out the best in his team.
Giannis and the Bucks’ next chance is on Monday against the Chicago Bulls.
