Milwaukee Bucks Forward MarJon Beauchamp is expected to be a featured rotational piece on the Bucks this season.

Last season Beauchamp averaged 5.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.7 assists in 52 games for the Bucks. This summer, Beauchamp has been doing everything he can to secure a spot in the rotation this season.

Beauchamp flew to Greece to train with Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. He put together an impressive NBA Summer League with averages of 13.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 29 minutes of action, and he scored 83 points at the CrawsOver Pro-Am to set the record for most points scored at Jamal Crawford‘s league. Beauchamp broke the previous record Isaiah Thomas who scored 81 in August 2021. (VIA SI)

This recent news caps off a successful summer for Beauchamp.

MarJon Beauchamp’s route to the NBA will surprise you. He went to four different high schools each year of his career. He opted to forgo playing for a Division I school instead opting to play for his hometown’s Yakima City College. During his time there, Beauchamp averaged 30.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 4.8 assists through 12 games.

On Wednesday, the Yakima College Yaks officially retired Beauchamp’s jersey.

That’s crazy he got four jerseys retired for playing 12 games. I’m surprised they didn’t build him a statue outside the arena.

In all seriousness, congrats to MarJon Beauchamp. It was a long road for him to get to this point, but his hard work is paying off, and you could see Beauchamp improve in year two.
