Adames

An encouraging sign for the star Brewers shortstop. On May 26, Willy Adames was struck with a foul ball while sitting in the dugout against the San Francisco Giants. It was a scary moment, and Adames was immediately placed on the 7-day concussion list after the game. A week later, the team gave an update on the status of Adames. Willy Adames won’t join the Brewers in Cincinnati. Instead, he’s working out with the @TimberRattlers — resuming baseball activities today — and the Brewers will make a decision at the end of the weekend about next steps. — Adam McCalvy…

Gasser

The Milwaukee Brewers pitching rotation depth has been tested the past two months. The team has been ravaged by injuries namely to guys like Brandon Woodruff, Eric Lauer, Wade Miley, so the question looms is it too early to call up LHP Robert Gasser? Gasser was apart of the Josh Hader deal on August 1, 2022, and is currently pitching in Triple-A Nashville. Gasser in nine starts is 3-1 with a 4.59 ERA, 60 strikeouts and 49 innings pitched, and being only 24 years old, Gasser could be a building block for the future of the Brewers, and will likely…

The Brewers have decided to shake up their starting rotation on Saturday. The Brewers have moved number starting pitcher Eric Lauer to the bullpen. The rotation, for now, will consist of Corbin Burnes, Colin Rea, Adrian Houser, Freddy Peralta, and Wade Miley. The team hopes to get Brandon Woodruff back in late June to early July. Woodruff has been out since April 15 with a Grade 2 sub-scapular strain. Lauer’s numbers are confounding as he has a 3-1 record with a 1.90 ERA and 23.2 innings pitched on the road, versus a dreadful home record. Lauer has held lefties to…
