The people of Milwaukee love Joe Prunty. That is one indisputable fact that has once again been proven Wednesday night when the Milwaukee Bucks coach was shown with love by Milwaukee Bucks fans while he steered Giannis Antetokounmpo and company to a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers at home.
“I love me some Joe Prunty,” said X user AJaxJrSZN.
Another one called Prunty the “Coldest coach in the game.”
“I think they just really love Joe Prunty,” one fan said on X while reacting to Milwaukee Bucks players dancing on the court before their first game since Adrian Griffin got fired.

Meanwhile, X user @SamCares11 was vocal in his support for Prunty, even wanting the coach to be the permanent successor of Griffin: “I’m not lying—Prunty would be my top choice for this position right now. Not Doc, not Bud. Joe Prunty. He’s always done well when given his chance, the players seem to respect him, and we played GOOD tonight.”

Joe Prunty Made Sure the Milwaukee Bucks Got the Job Done Against the Cleveland Cavaliers
With the Milwaukee Bucks still finalizing a deal with Doc Rivers, Prunty handled the temporary head-coaching duties for the team in the Cavs game. The Bucks did not let Prunty down, as they shot 50 percent from the field and got huge performances from the trio of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Khris Middleton. Antetokounmpo led the way for the Bucks with 35 points, 18 rebounds, and 10 assists to go with two blocks, while Lillard and Middleton had 28 and 24 points, respectively.
Prunty has proven himself a reliable coach for the Bucks when they needed someone to guide the team during a major transition in head coaching. He had a 21-16 record as interim head coach of the Bucks in the 2017-18 season.
