The Milwaukee Bucks pretty much set NBA Twitter ablaze after they announced their shocking decision to relieve Adrian Griffin from his post as the team’s head coach. While Griffin has had his fair share of criticism throughout the first half of the season, it still comes as a surprise that the front office came to such a drastic decision at this point in the campaign.
Be that as it may, the Bucks appear to already have his successor in place with NBA champion coach Doc Rivers now being touted as the next man up for Milwaukee.
Fans React to Doc Rivers Links to Milwaukee Bucks
The dust hasn’t even settled yet on Adrian Griffin’s exit and already, the Bucks are already thinking about his replacement. You can’t really blame them, though, considering how the team needs someone to steady the ship amid this self-inflicted storm.
In the meantime, assistant coach Joe Prunty is going to serve as the squad’s interim head coach as the front office works towards bringing in Griffin’s permanent replacement. Multiple reports have already confirmed that Rivers is Milwaukee’s top candidate.
As expected, NBA fans on social media have been having a field day over all this. A lot of supporters feel that this is a disaster waiting to happen for Milwaukee:
