After enduring several losses, the Milwaukee Bucks have finally handed Doc Rivers his first win as the team’s head coach. Once the game was done, the guys went the extra mile to show how hyped they were for this moment.

In that particular game, the Bucks overcame a 25-point deficit to defeat the Dallas Mavericks in their own home with a score of 129-117. Giannis Antetokounmpo led all players by scoring 48 points, grabbing six rebounds, dishing 10 assists, and making five steals in 40 minutes on the court.

Meanwhile, Damian Lillard added 30 points and eight assists to go along with Antetokounmpo’s big game. On the other side of the fence, Luka Doncic led his team by posting 40 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists.

This huge win over Dallas comes after two consecutive losses against the Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers. The former saw Rivers’ coaching debut end in a loss, while the latter spoiled Lillard’s return to face his former team.

After the game, Rivers’ first win as the Milwaukee Bucks head coach was celebrated by the team. This can be seen in a video posted by the team’s official account on X:

As seen in the video, Jae Crowder approached Rivers while he was still addressing the team. With a water bottle in hand, the forward showers the Bucks’ head coach in celebration of his first win. Cameron Payne joined in on the fun while Rivers basked in the moment.

With that first win checked off the list, the Bucks are hoping to maintain that kind of momentum throughout their trip out west. In any case, things are just starting to look up for Milwaukee and Rivers.
