Unfortunately for the Milwaukee Bucks, they do not have a representative for this season’s NBA All-Defensive teams. Giannis Antetokounmpo got a surprisingly small amount of votes this year, while Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis were also voted into the long list of runners-up.
I guess Bucks fans will just have to take a bit of comfort in the fact that former star guard Jrue Holiday has once again been named into the All-Defensive team for the sixth time in his career.
Ex-Milwaukee Bucks Star Jrue Holiday Named in All-Defensive Team
The league announced the best defensive players in the NBA during the 2023-24 season — at least according to the votes. Holiday, who now plies his trade with the Boston Celtics, got a total of 36 votes, which marks the sixth time in his career that he’s achieved this honor:

It is worth noting that Holiday barely made the cut this year. He beat out Lu Dort of the Oklahoma City Thunder by just two votes as Holiday emerged as the player with the least number of votes in both the first and second All-Defense teams.
Be that as it may, more than a few Bucks fans out there will still be happy to hear about this development. This is despite the fact that Holiday is now playing for one of Milwaukee’s biggest rivals in the East in the Celtics. Holiday did so much for the organization during his stint with the Bucks that he will forever be endeared as a fan-favorite among the Milwaukee faithful.
