The Milwaukee Bucks lost a tough one on Sunday night as they fell to the Utah Jazz, 123-108. It seemed like the Bucks had control of the game and were heading to back-to-back wins in two nights following their 129-117 victory over Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night.
The home team pulled off a massive rally in the fourth quarter, though, and it looked like Milwaukee just ran out of steam in the final frame. The Jazz outscored the road team, 40-13, as they slapped the Bucks with their 16th loss of the season and their third defeat in four games.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Doc Rivers Speaks Out on Back-to-Back Set Vs. Jazz
Bucks head coach Doc Rivers entered the game knowing that this was going to be a tough battle for his squad. The veteran shot-caller bemoaned the fact that his team had to travel to Utah to play the Jazz roughly 24 hours after their hard-fought victory in Dallas against the Mavs:
“This is one of those single games where [the Jazz] been here resting, we played, got in (at) 2 o’clock in the morning. We’re playing at 6 (p.m.). Felt like we just got off the bus,” Rivers said before Sunday’s contest. “And we have some guys out. So, this is one of those games you just try to figure out how to win the game. And we’ll try to do whatever we can.”

As Rivers noted, the Bucks did not have Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez in this one due to respective injuries/issues. Ultimately, the squad just didn’t have enough gas toward the end of the game, which the Jazz took full advantage of.
Milwaukee now gets a night off, but they head to Phoenix to battle the Suns on Tuesday to close out what has been a brutal five-game road stand.
