Before he ended up with the Milwaukee Bucks, Damian Lillard made it clear that he wanted a move to the Miami Heat. While he may have not made his declaration publicly, it’s still no secret that the seven-time All-Star wanted to leave the Portland Trail Blazers in favor of a move from South Beach.
Damian Lillard’s Post-Milwaukee Bucks Trade Comments

Dame recently spoke out about his botched move to the Heat. Lillard confirmed reports that his preferred destination was indeed Miami while also throwing a bit of shade on the Blazers for failing to make a deal work:
“I don’t think it was a secret that Miami is where I wanted to go when I asked for a trade. When this conversation started, it was like ‘We’re not going to be able to build this team out. We’ll help you get to where you want to go’. And that was where I wanted to go.”
You have to note that Lillard made these comments after he was traded to the Bucks, and this is the exact reason why renowned sports analyst Skip Bayless got all riled up.
Skip Bayless Slams Damian Lillard

In a recent episode of his Undisputed show on FS1, Bayless went scorched earth on Lillard and his recent comments. Skip is the type to call a spade a spade without any reservations, and this time around, he turned his attention to the new Bucks superstar:
“You say everybody knew you wanted to got to Miami, we did know for sure. It got reported but you never said that until now. Why would you say it now in hindsight? Where is the win in that statement? It gets you where?” Bayless said (h/t Dey Purkayastha of The Sports Rush). “You obviously hold some sort of bitterness or grudge with Portland, just keep it to yourself. You got out, you got what you wanted, you didn’t go to your preffered destination, you just went to the guy that a lot of people think is the best player in the whole league. And he badly wanted you. He was upfront on the record ‘I need him!’ What is the issue? What’s the problem? Why should you pick at Portland? It’s petty! You’re petty! It’s beneath you.”

Needless to say, Skip Bayless did not hold back on his tirade here. Love him or hate him, there’s no denying that he has a point, though.
