Damian Lillard has missed just three games for the Milwaukee Bucks this season. Unfortunately for the eight-time All-Star he is now in danger of being forced to sit out for a fourth time this year when the Bucks take on the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night.
Lillard was included in the injury report heading into Tuesday’s showdown, which is why the big question the fans are asking right now is this: Is Damian Lillard playing tonight vs. the Suns?
Milwaukee Bucks Star Damian Lillard’s Injury Status Vs. Suns
You have to give Lillard a lot of credit for staying healthy this season. The 33-year-old has been doing everything he can to remain on the court as he navigates through his first season as a Buck.
Dame, however, has been dealing with a left ankle sprain of late. It appears that the eight-time All-Star sustained the injury during Saturday’s win over the Dallas Mavericks. However, he played through the knock on Sunday against the Utah Jazz despite being initially tagged as questionable.
The same is now the case heading into Tuesday’s matchup in Phoenix with Lillard being listed as questionable again on the official injury report.
The silver lining here is that Dame was able to still suit up on Sunday despite the injury. Lillard, however, landed on Jazz big man Walker Kessler’s foot during that game and it looked like he may have reaggravated the same foot injury.
So, with regard to the question of is Damian Lillard playing tonight vs. the Suns, the answer is that it remains up in the air at the moment.
Keep an eye on this space for final confirmation as we head closer to tip-off.
UPDATE: Damian Lillard will NOT play on Tuesday after the Bucks ruled him out.
